Dear Ellen,
Thank you so much for giving us the opportunity to share with you music that saves our lives, brighten up our days in difficult time. All the way from Vietnam, I would love to recommend to you my favorite singers from Korean: DBSK (international fan's name) aka TVXQ (Korean and Chinese fan's name) and THSK (Japanese fan's name)
This group of 5 guys really shattered their image as "idol" group to move on to this amazing position as true singers. I would love to tell you that their voices are of angels -they create perfect harmony together as 5 - they can do both a Capella and dance - and more shockingly, they sing live better than record. But I guess, the fact that they won the heart of 800 000 Korean fans, along with 180 000 Japanese fans not to mention countless international fans from all 5 continents - making them the Guinness winner of the most popular band in the whole world highlights something true:
They (music and personality) are worth admiring.
Having said too much, I should stop here and pray that their music capture your heart. If you want a recommendation: "Love in the Ice" both Japanese and Korean version is my all time favorite.

i would name TVXQ or DONG BANG SHIN KI or better known as TOHOSHINKI in japan...check out their influence and u will be amazed by their fanbase...rising up as a accapella group in south korea in 26 december 2003 as a part of the show "BoA and BRITNEY SPEARS" these boys rise up as shooting star and well recognise for their talents in singing, dancing and also their great personality...their humble character, always eager to learn and gratitude for fans and passion to music had melts over millions of fans @ CASSIOPEIA (i would dare to say million because u see, the boys had won a world record of having 800k official fans but this fans includes only for south koreans and it ends the application on 2006) by then, their japanese official fans termed BIGEAST had reach the company biggest fanclub with near 200k..this hasnt include other fans from other part of the world...i have known a LOT of their fans all over the world...and with this all, it actually adds up to more than 1million fans...
beside, the boys got over their love because of their singing talent, their personality and their passion like i had said before..from the day they debut as a group, everytime they release an album in korea, they will be getting top starting from BEST NEW GROUP to BEST ARTIST OF THE YEAR..their popularity in japan are booming and i can assure that...
i am sure if there is 1 million people liking them, i am pretty sure u will too because the boys really come in a package (from looks to talents to personality!! XD)..and for their song i would recommend their latest song MIROTIC and also one of their famous ballad LOVE IN THE ICE( japanese version) or maybe BOLERO...
recently, the boys were involved in a lawsuit with their company...for a contract problem..i wish this would highlight about some slave contract happens in music industry for i sure it happens not only in south korea...^_^

DBSK has been through many hardships lately because of problems with their record company. I believe that if they gain even more devoted fans through exposure in the U.S., they will continue their success and overcome their difficulties with enough support. They have always shown us that sharing their music with us means the world to them, and silly legal problems should never hinder the soul of music.
Breakout is DBSK's newest single to be released January 27, they day after one of the member's (Jaejoong's) birthday. There are many other songs that showcase the incredible talent of all 5 members, but I believe playing this one would be a wonderful birthday present to him. smile.gif

Hi Ellen! HUGEEE fan of your show-you're awesome! I'm not fom the US, I live in Canada but I watch your show all the time and I'd like to suggest a boyband called SS501 from South Korea.
Everyone's been rooting for DBSK/TVXQ, but SS501 is sort of like the underdog. They're popular in Korea, but still not as popular as DBSK and some of the other korean artists that have been mentioned. That being said, I know you like finding hidden/unknown talent, so I'm hoping you'll consider SS501 for the show! Don't get me wrong, it's not like they're unpopular, but DBSK and many other groups are better known. I just want SS501 to be given more of a chance 'cause they're a funny/honest group. They show their real side in a culture where most people just conform to what society wants them to be. Oh, and they're great singers as well! Please please please have them on your show =). Thanks so much

By naming OUR boys to put the shining light on YOUR guys - that does not make SS501 any better as singers. DBSK is better known for reasons, and if they are chosen it's not because we use SS501 to get the attention. For GOD's sake stop this emotional play - this ain't working

WHY? becos TVXQ have been active since 2004 and have in total album sales i beleive sold more than 4 MILLION COPIES DOMESTICALLY in asia alone which is a accomplishing feat for a SOUTH KOREAN boy band .

i recommend 'Stand by U', a ballad song, you can hear their harmony. this song is a sad song, tells about a man left by his girlfriend, but this man still love that girl no matter what.
